The Cataratas del Iguazú or Iguazú Falls are one of the new Seven Natural Wonders of the World and have received over a million visitors a year in 2007, 2008 and 2010. The Iguazú Falls are arguably the premier nature attraction in Argentina and helped Argentina receive over US$4.8 billion in 2010. The park offers visitors the opportunity to get “up close and personal” with over 275 waterfalls either through its many miles of trails or on motorboat or raft excursions. Of course, the pièce de résistance is Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), a horseshoe shaped waterfall that is approximately 492 feet long and 262 feet high.

In 2001-2002 the park underwent a variety of infrastructure improvements to deal with the growth in visitors. In addition to replacing older catwalks with new metal catwalks, a low emission ecological train also installed for easier access to remote areas of the park such as Devil’s Throat. Those who love nature will enjoy spending many hours in the park.
